TYPES OF ROTARY SYSTEMS

Rotary Drums :
Used for Drying, Cooling, Granulating.

Rotary Calciners / Kilns :
Used for Calcining, Roasting, Sintering, etc. and could be of direct or indirect type.

Special Rotary Systems :
These are of special design varying with application. These may be used for heat treatment, calcining or drying.
For example, for barium sulphite a rotary kiln ( reaction furnace) and a tube bundle type cooler is used.

Rotary System finds an excellent application in Soda Ash Industry. KEL has manufactured & successfully commissioned such Rotary System having capacity upto 600 TPD.
The system comprises of rotating shell with tubes inside having high pressure steam flowing through. The material passes over the tubes and is heated with steam resulting in very high thermal efficiency.
